Judging Books by Their Covers

Posted by Staff

Have you ever seen a book and thought, "wow that looks really good"?  This is not an accident.  Book publishers design cover art to entice us to buy and read books. Here at the library, we see hundreds of books and these covers recently begged for us to pick them up. There is advice out there to never judge a book by its cover, but sometimes we do anyway.

The Furies by Mark Alpert

The Storybook of Legends by Shannon Hale

Mermaids in Paradise by Lydia Millet

The Steady Running of the Hour by Justin Go

2666 by Roberto Bolano

The Mathematician's Shiva by Stuart Rojstaczer

Bad Monkey by Carl Hiaasen

Georgia O'Keeffe's Hawai'i by Patricia Jennings

Severed Souls by Terry Goodkind

Over There by Steve Pilcher

Tigerman by Nick Harkaway
