With an Edwardsville library card, a child over 6 years old can check out one of our 13 American Girl Dolls. Kids have loved being able to check out these dolls to play with. As you can imagine, there are times that these well-loved dolls need some upkeep. Youth staff routinely washes the dolls' clothes and cleans their bodies. But, sometimes, a little extra care is needed.
In this photo Anne W., our Youth Librarian, is cleaning Isabelle's hair in our staff sink. Some styling products needed to be washed out and a careful shampoo did the trick. Her hair is now soft and smooth once again!
Caroline's long, beautiful, curly hair also recently needed some work. Curly hair can have fingers run through it only so many times before it starts getting frizzy and tangled.
With a lot of patience and detangling spray, Anne W. was able to get her hair separated and ready to be curled again.
